Quarterly Progress Report — Third Quarter 2014 <br />Austin Unit. Forward Landfill Page 3 <br />According to SCS Field Services, Inc., the landfill gas collection and destruction system experienced <br />the following periods of downtime during the third quarter 2014: <br />• July 8,1:00 p.m. —1:42 p.m.: Flare A-2 automatically shut down due to low temperature. <br />Based on information provided by SCS Field Services, Inc., the landfill gas extraction and destruction <br />system operated at approximately 1,900 to 2,500 cubic feet per minute during the third quarter 2014. <br />This is equivalent to about 2,736,000 to 3,600,000 cubic feet per day. Based on the data presented in <br />the June 30, 2014 Annual Compliance Emissions Test Report prepared by Blue Sky Environmental, <br />Inc., Flare A-2 destroys an average of 37.2 lbs/hour of non -methane organics, and back-up Flare A-1 <br />destroys an average of 15.2 lbs/hour of non -methane organics. Non -methane organics are considered <br />equivalent to VOCs. During the period. of July 1 through September 30, 2014, Flare A-2 operated <br />approximately 2,207 hours out of a possible 2,208 hours (99.91/o operational rate).
