<br />The water quality monitoring network at the Forward Unit currently includes 15 groundwater
<br />monitoring wells (five of which are dual depth well pairs), one domestic well, and 17 lysimeters
<br />(Figure 1). Monitoring wells at the Forward Unit have been constructed to monitor

<br />The monitoring network at the Austin Unit currently includes 33 groundwater monitoring wells,
<br />two domestic wells, and two surface water monitoring stations (Figure 1). The detection
<br />monitoring program (DMP) wells are used to detect a potential release from the landfill; the
<br />corrective action program (CAP) wells are used to evaluate changes in water quality and the
<br />effectiveness of the corrective action measures; and the 19 evaluation monitoring program
<br />(EMP) wells are part of an on-going investigation. Monitoring points at the Austin Unit have
<br />been constructed to monitor the groundwater/surface water at the facility as follows:
