corner of Section 21 (Arizuren property) in October 1980. The samples
were analyzed by Nelson Laboratories, and results are presented in
Appendix F. Results indicate that water from domestic and irrigation
wells on and adjacent to the proposed landfill site is within the
standards for drinking water as set by the U.S. Public Health Service
(see Table 4) .
Ground-water quality at the proposed landfill site was also character-
ized by analyzing samples from the recently installed Monitoring
Wells G-1 and G-2 installed by EMCON during Spring 1987. To establish
baseline ground-water quality data for the site, EMCON analyzed these
samples for the following parameters:
• pH
• Electrical conductivity
• Total dissolved solids (TDS)
• Total organic carbon (TOC)
• Alkalinity
• Phenols
• Nitrate
• Chloride
• Total Kjeldahl nitrogen (T )
• Phosphate
• Volatile organics (EPA Method 624)
• Semivolatile organics (EPA Method 625)
• Chlorinated pesticides (EPA Method 608)
• - 27 ICRP Metals
Analytical reports are summarized on Table 4 and contained in Appen-
dix F. In summary, analysis confirmed underlying ground water to be
of very good quality with no signs of existing contamination.
PJ9 9390206.00D 1
