•
I. INTRODUCTION
The County of San Joaquin currently operates the Harney Lane Sanitary
Landfill, approximately 7 miles east of Lodi, California. The land-
fill is currently expected to reach capacity by late 1990. As part of
the effort to find a replacement for the landfill, EMCON Associates
was contracted by the County of San Joaquin to perform a geologic and
hydrogeologic investigation of a 320+ acre parcel, located approxi-
mately 1-1/2 miles east of the existing Harney Lane Sanitary landfill,
referred to as the Landfill Development Site (see Figures 1 and 2).
The investigation was designed to generate information required in
California Administrative Code (CAC), Title 23, Chapter 3, Subchap-
ter 15 (referred to as Subchapter 15) for evaluation and permitting of
new facilities.
The following report responds to the geologic/hydrogeologic data
requests contained in Article 9 of Subchapter 15 and forms the basis
for the design of a ground -water monitoring program as required by
Article 5, Subchapter 15. Table 1 presents a cross-reference between
report headings and appropriate sections of Subchapter 15.
PJ9 9390206.000 1
