SECTION 10 <br />' (11/92) <br />excavated during drilling or other activity to the active working face of the landfill, and <br />' shall deposit it as directed by landfill operations personnel. <br />The Contractor shall remove excavated refuse and residual refuse from the <br />' landfill surface, and deliver this refuse to the active landfill face by 3:00 p.m. of the day <br />in which the refuse was excavated. The Contractor shall cover refuse not delivered to i <br />the active face by the time identified with 10 mil plastic or equivalent, and shall secure <br />the edges of the cover to the satisfaction of the Engineer. Refuse covered by plastic <br />shall be removed to the active landfill face by 10:00 the next day. Workers will be <br />allowed on site to deliver plastic -covered refuse to the active face on Saturday <br />' mornings, if so requested by the Contractor. <br />OPEN TRENCHES. --Contractor shall cover trenches in which refuse is exposed <br />' by a tarp at the end of the work day. Contractor shall backfill trenches containing <br />refuse within 24 hours of initial excavation. Access to the site during Saturdays or <br />Sundays will not be allowed for the purpose of backfilling trenches. <br />10-1.02 STAKING.--Stakin shall conform to the provisions of Section <br />9 <br />5-1.07, "Lines and Grades," of the Standard Specifications and these special <br />provisions, and to Section 01055 of the Technical Specifications. <br />' 10-1.03 PROGRESS SCHEDULE. --Attention is directed to <br />Section 8-1.04, "Progress Schedule," of the Standard Specifications and these special <br />provisions. The Progress Schedule shall include, at a minimum, the following items: <br />' a. Award of Contract <br />b. Submittal of the LFG flare station information (may occur prior to Notice to Proceed) <br />' c. Notice to proceed issued by the County <br />d. Mobilizing equipment and materials to the site <br />e. Survey of LFG well and other drill points <br />' f. Drilling LFG wells <br />g. Connecting LFG piping <br />h. Installing concrete <br />' i. Electrical work <br />j. Placement of flare skid <br />k.
