Non-Water Release Corrective Action Plan <br /> North County Recycling Center and Sanitary landfill <br /> spreading approximately 50-feet. It is also assumed that the fire will reach a depth of 10-feet <br /> and will be suppressed by excavation and soil burial. It is assumed that the fire and excavation <br /> would damage a single vertical landfill gas extraction wells. <br /> The cost for excavating and replacing waste, soil suppression, final cover placement, erosion <br /> control, and construction of the replacement landfill gas extraction well is estimated to be <br /> $113,864 (see Table D-2, Appendix D). <br /> 5.3.2 Wildfires <br /> Wildfires impacts are not a reasonably foreseeable casual event; therefore, the cost for <br /> mitigation is not included. <br /> 5.4 Mitigation of Flood-Related Impacts <br /> Flood impacts are not a reasonably foreseeable casual event; therefore, the cost for mitigation <br /> is not included. <br /> 6.0 ESTIMATED NON-WATER RELEASE MITIGATION COST ESTIMATE SUMMARY <br /> Damage associated with precipitation and subsurface fire impacts is considered a reasonably <br /> foreseeable casual event, and costs to mitigate hypothetical damage from these events is <br /> estimated to be$83,993 and $113,864, respectively (see Table D-3,Appendix D). <br /> 7.0 LIMITATIONS <br /> This report has not been prepared for use by parties or projects other than those named or <br /> described above.
