The concentrations of field and monitoring
parameters are below established concentration limits; with the exception of well G-1, where a
slight exceedance for magnesium and turbidity was reported during the 1St Quarter monitoring
period. Well G-1 is upgradient of the landfill and serves as the background well; this
exceedance is likely to have been caused by conditions upgradient and not related to the
landfill.
VOCs were detected in the soil gas samples; however, the absence of VOCs in the groundwater
' suggests that the presence of VOCs in the soil at these concentration levels does not pose a
threat to groundwater at North County. This is consistent with previous years.
' Secondary leachate sumps at Lined Areas 3 and 4 remain free of leachate. Lined Area 1 is not
provided with a secondary leachate sump.
' Storm water and surface water samples were not available during this reporting period due to
lack of rainfall.
' I certify under penalty of perjury that I am familiar with the information submitted in this report,
and to the best of my knowledge the report is true, accurate, and complete.
