An
additional sample was obtained from the production well on
the Musco Olive property. A seventh sample was taken from a
monitoring well on the Musco Olive property, identified as
Well No. W-2 which has been constructed to a depth of 50
feet to monitor a perched water condition at that location.
Each of the production wells sampled were taken from a
faucet in its system.
Monitoring Well No. W-2 had been cased with 4 -inch PVC pipe
and partially constructed with the annular space between the
pipe and the wall of the boring backfilled with Monterey
sand over approximately the lower 25 feet of the well.
Approximately five feet of bentonite was then placed over
the sand when the well was drilled on May 13, 1985. On
November 22, 1985, we placed a concrete seal from the
bentonite to the surface with a locking cover. On November
22, 1985, this well was sampled after it was purged using a
PVC bailing apparatus.
