4. Faulting and seismicity: <br /> An evaluation of the peak ground acceleration resulting from the <br /> "Maximum Probable Earthquake" (MPE) associated with a 100 year <br /> frequency is developed in Section 2595(f) (5) of the RWD. This <br /> section also discusses regional seismicity. <br /> The MPE evaluation indicates a peak bedrock acceleration of 0.20g <br /> associated with an MPE of 7.0 in magnitude along the Calaveras <br /> Fault. This bedrock acceleration will not create slope failure <br /> due to the approximate 4: 1 sideslopes present at the site. <br /> D. Engineering properties of soil and bedrock: <br /> Information on engineering properties of soil and bedrock at the <br /> site is contained in the GWSWAT performed by EMCON.
