X. LOGS AND SPECIAL TESTS
A. Logs of exploratory borings and trenches: Logs for
exploratory boring performed at the site are contained in
the following:
1) Appendix B of the GWSWAT titled, Solid Waste Assessment
Test ,(SWAT) Report Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill.
San Joaquin County, California, by EMCON Associates,
June 1988. Copies of the GWSWAT for the landfill were
submitted to the CWMB and LEA on September 7, 1988.
on plates V through XI of Appendix D to the RWD
(Kleinfelder 1985) for the landfill.
2) Plates VII through X of Appendix I.
B. Hydraulic Conductivity of Water Bearing Zones:
tests were conducted in two of the landfill monitoring
g
wells. Details on results are contained in Section 2.5 of
the GWSWAT.
C. Water Balance Calculation:
The Closure Plan for the site performed by EMCON in March
1988 contains a projected water balance calculation for the
completed landfill. The Closure Plan is Appendix B to the
1988 RWD for the landfill, which is included in this report
as Appendix C. The results of the calculation are presented
in Table 3 of the Plan and details on the development of the
model are contained on pages 10 and 11. The results of the
water balance calculation indicate that the final cover
should preclude precipitation infiltrating into the refuse
after placement of final cover is completed.
43
