MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM FOR -3- <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY AND THE CITY OF TRACY <br />CORRAL HOLLOW SANITARY LANDFILL <br />CLASS III LANDFILL <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />1 Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma Atomic.__Emiss_ion Spectroscopy,_- <br />(ICAP) may be used for analysis of these constituents only. <br />2 EPA Methods 601 and 602, or EPA Method 624 shall be used. All <br />peaks shall be reported. - - M_ __.�,_._ <br />The Discharger shall determine at each sampling whether there is a <br />statistically significant increase over water quality protection <br />standards for each parameter and constituent analyzed. <br />The ground water surface elevation (in feet and hundredths, M.S.L.) in <br />all wells shall be measured on a quarterly basis and used to.determine <br />the velocity and direction(s) of ground water flow. This information <br />shall be displayed on a water table contour map and/or ground water flow <br />net for the site. <br />WATER QUALITY PROTECTION STANDARDS <br />Standards for Surface Waters _. <br />Quarterly surface water samples shall be taken from Corral Hollow Creek <br />upgradient of the site for one year and analyzed for each of the <br />�t <br />parameters and constituents listed under SURFACE WATER MONIjTORING <br />above. Analyses shall account for measurement errors-in_sampiing and <br />analysis. Data from these analyses shall be reported to the Board <br />within thirteen months of the effective date of this Order for use by the <br />Board in determining water quality protection standards 'for surface <br />waters at the site. <br />If subsequent upstream surface water sampling indicates signirkant water <br />quality changes due to either seasonal fluctuations or other reasons <br />unrelated to waste management _activities at the site, the Discharger may <br />request modification of these water quality protection standards. <br />Standards for Ground Water <br />Quarterly samples shall be taken from all of the monitoring wells (MW -1 <br />through MW -5) for one year and analyzed for each of the parameters and <br />constituents listed under "GROUND WATER MONITORING" above. --Analyses <br />shall account for measurement errors in sampling and analysis,_ Data from <br />these analyses shall be reported to the Board within thirteen months of <br />the effective date of this Order for use by the Board in determining <br />water quality protection standards for ground water at the site. <br />
