Processing of the recyclables from sorting and curbside collection Drograms. source separated <br /> and buy back materials will be processed at sort lines and baled or stored in bins or bunkers for <br /> transfer off-site for reuse. <br /> Yard waste processing and composting: source separated yard waste (green material) will be <br /> unloaded at the facility's compost pad. Material will be placed in windrows, composted, cured, <br /> and transferred off-site for reuse. If required the green material will be processed through a tub <br /> grinder prior to being placed in windrows and may be screened prior to placing in windrows and <br /> prior to being loaded for transfer off-site. <br /> Wood waste storage and processing for off-site disposal: loads identified as containing wood <br /> waste only will be unloaded at the facility's compost pad. Wood waste separated on the tipping <br /> floor of the MRF/Transfer Facility will also be transferred to the compost pad. Wood material <br /> will be processed through a tub grinder, screened, placed in windrows with green material, <br /> composted, cured, screened and transferred off-site for reuse. Some wood material not suitable <br /> for composting may also be stored for transfer off-site. <br /> Administration and maintenance am: an administration and maintenance building will be <br /> provided for both the operation of the MRF/Transfer Facility and for the refuse collection <br /> operations. This will include offices and work areas for management personnel and <br /> administrative employees, restrooms, conference rooms, storage areas, vehicle maintenance <br /> bays, paint booth and truck/equipment wash area. <br /> Truck gaildng: an area will be provided for bin storage and for parking of collection trucks and <br /> transfer trailers. Included in this area will be fuel tanks, a fueling island and a truck wash area. <br /> Gatehouse and truck scales: a gatehouse and two 10 foot by 70 foot truck scales will be <br /> provided in the main access road. All vehicles will be required to stop at the gatehouse for <br /> weighing and/or inspection. <br /> Periodic household hazardous waste collection, separation and tempgrga storage for off-site <br /> disposal: household hazardous waste will be collected through the hazardous waste screening <br /> program and stored in an approved hazardous waste storage container. An area may also be <br /> provided and be available for periodic household hazardous waste collection events coordinated <br /> by San Joaquin County.
