Is b. Water Supply <br /> All water required for facility operations including potable water will be obtained from an on-site <br /> groundwater supply well. This on-site will also supply an on-site fire protection storage tank <br /> sized to satisfy local fire protection requirements. Electrical fire pumps will be installed to serve <br /> a fire main and fire hydrant system and building sprinkler systems. A diesel generator will be <br /> provided on-site for emergency power. <br /> C. Communications Facilities <br /> Telephones will be located in the Office/Maintenance Building, MRF/Transfer Building and <br /> Gatehouse. The station manager and supervisor will carry pagers when the station is not <br /> operating so they can be reached if an event takes place that needs their immediate attention. <br /> d. Lighting <br /> Operational lighting will be provided since the station will operate in times of darkness. Inside <br /> lighting will be provided in all buildings. Outside lighting will be provided for security and for <br /> on-site traffic circulation and parking areas. <br /> e. Fire Fighting Equipment <br /> Fire hydrants will be provided for the facility as identified on Figure 10. An on-site water <br /> storage tank, supplied by a ground water well, will supply the fire hydrants and hose bibs <br /> through out the facility via a pressure and fire pump system. Fire extinguishers will be located <br /> in all buildings and operational equipment. The MRF/Transfer Building will be equipped with <br /> an automatic sprinkler system. <br /> L Protection of Users <br /> The facility has been designed and will operate with the safety of the public and the facility <br /> personnel as a primary goal. One of the facility supervisors will be assigned as safety <br /> coordinator. It will be his or her responsibility to establish a safety manual and safety training <br /> program to be in effect at all times during the facility's operation.
