TRACY MATERIALS RECOVERY & TRANSFER FACILITY
STATION CAPACITY ANALYSIS
December 1993
Object
To determine the facility design requirements for the receiving, processing and transferring of
solid waste and recycled materials.
Material Quantities
Based on the waste composition study and waste quantity projections included in Appendix B
of this Report of Station Information, for a total of 800 tons per day of material received at the
site, the material is broken down approximately as follows for incoming material:
Non-processable Wastes 360 tpd
Processable Wastes 230 tpd
Curbside Collected Recyclables 40 tpd
Processable, Wood & Yard Wastes ID Wd
TOTAL 800 tpd
Processable wastes are a combination of commercial and industrial loads rich in recyclables that
will be sorted and loads of recyclable material only that will be processed (baled) or stored until
transported offsite.
Based on a total incoming volume of 800 tpd of the various type material, the following material
are estimated for the various types of material handling:
Waste Load Out 400 tpd
Recycled Material Load Out 230 tpd
Wood & Yard Material Load Out 170 tpd
Curbside Material Sorting 40 tpd
Other Material Sorting 50 tpd
Baled Material 140 tpd
LWc"*DS D=mbef IS,IM
F-1 MAWAMTZM0tDGZS
