site. This was accomplished by hydroseeding the vegetative layer.
The hydroseeding process was made up of three steps. The first
step consisted of spraying a slurry mixture of seed, fertilizer,
and mulch over the surface. The second step involved blowing straw
over the slurry mixture. The third and final step consisted of
spraying a slurry mixture of mulch and emulsifier over the straw in
order to bind the straw to the surface.
CONCLUSION
This report summarizes the construction methods used in
constructing the final cover for the Corral Hollow Sanitary
Landfill. This report serves to certify the foundation and
vegetative layer portions of the final cover. Additionally, this
report includes the Kleinfelder report certifying the clay barrier
layer portion of the final cover as Appendix A. San Joaquin County
will continue to perform postclosure maintenance as outlined in the
most recent Postclosure Maintenance Plan for the thirty year
postclosure maintenance period.
R: \WES\EN\CH\CLOSE\FINLDOC.RPT
13
