This report presents the Final Documentation Report for the final <br /> cover for the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill and complies with <br /> state closure regulations Title 14 , Chapter 3 , Article 7 . 8 . This <br /> report contains all information pertinent to demonstrate that the <br /> CQA plan was implemented as proposed and that the final cover <br /> construction was completed in accordance with the design criteria, <br /> plans, and specifications pursuant to Title 14, Chapter 5, Article <br /> 3 . 4 , Section 18275. <br /> FINAL COVER <br /> Final cover at the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill was applied to <br /> approximately 41 acres, which is the area that is filled with <br /> refuse. Final cover consists of a minimum two foot foundation <br /> layer overlain by a one foot thick clay barrier layer and a one <br /> foot thick vegetative layer (Figure 2) . Soils from Granite <br /> Construction Company' s aggregate plant were used in the <br /> construction of the foundation, clay barrier, and vegetative <br /> layers. The clay barrier layer consists of select borrow area soil <br /> mixed with red clay to meet the required specifications. All soil <br /> was placed with dual bottom dump trucks unless otherwise noted. <br /> All moisture conditioning except for the clay barrier layer was <br /> performed with water trucks. <br /> 3 <br />
