UST/AST Programs &Forensics: <br /> CAS performs analyses of samples collected around underground and aboveground <br /> storage tanks for solvent content and for identification of petroleum hydrocarbons ` <br /> i <br /> under the regulations of various state and federal agencies. We also analyze <br /> underlying soils to assess tank leakage and performed soil gas investigations to { <br /> pinpoint the extent of product release. CAS has senior chemists trained in the aspects <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbon forensics. In addition to overseeing specific forensics testing i <br /> procedures, our chemists also provide technical consulting and litigation support <br /> services. <br /> f <br /> Dioxin Analysis: (i <br /> I <br /> CAS/Houston provides full service dioxin testing where both high and low resolution <br /> GCMS methodologies are y p ' <br /> g performed on a varlet of sample matrices: XAD <br /> resins/filters, sediments, tissues, paper, ash, soil, water and waste. Methodologies <br /> employed by CAS/Houston include: EPA 8290, EPA 8280A, EPA 613, EPA 1613, <br /> EPA 1613A and EPA 23(air). <br /> i <br /> r <br /> Technical Services i <br /> CAS offers a variety of technical services to support our clients' needs. These include <br /> method development, analytical scope consulting, forensics, litigation support and <br /> electronic data management support. Our Technical Services Group is comprised of ! <br /> an interdisciplinary team of specialists expert in fields such as: air testing services, I <br /> forensics, electronics industry, pulp and paper industry, marine toxicology, risk . <br /> assessment and information technology. <br /> Technical Consulting <br /> The experience and technical depth of our laboratory personnel enables CAS to offer ` <br /> our clients a variety of technical consulting services. Our chemists are routinely asked <br /> to review historical data sets to provide a technical evaluation. Some of our <br /> senior technical staff are available to provide litigation support and expert witness <br /> services.
