Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Plan Extension of Closure Cap <br /> Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill August 21, 2008 <br /> The Geosynthetics CQA Consultant will observe the GCL rolls upon delivery at the site <br /> and any deviation from the above requirements will be reported to the Engineer. Any <br /> damaged rolls will be rejected or replaced at no additional cost to the Owner. <br /> 4.2.4 Conformance Testing <br /> 4.2.4.1 GCL Material Tests <br /> Upon receipt at the site of the GCL rolls, the CQA Monitor will ensure that samples <br /> are removed and forwarded to the Geosynthetic CQA Laboratory for testing at a <br /> frequency of one sample per lot or one per 100,000 sq. ft., whichever is more frequent, <br /> to ensure conformance to both the design specifications and the Manufacturer's list of <br /> guaranteed properties. Atthe option of the CQA Firm, samples of the GCL may be <br /> obtained by a third party at the manufacturing plant and shipped directly to the <br /> geosynthetics testing laboratory. <br /> As a minimum the following will be established: <br /> ♦ Moisture content (ASTM D2216) <br /> ♦ Mass per unit area (ASTM D5993) <br /> ♦ Grab strength (ASTM D4632) <br /> ♦ Permeability (ASTM D5084) <br /> 4.2.4.2 Sampling Procedures <br /> Samples will be taken by Contractor across the entire width of the roll. Unless <br /> otherwise specified, samples will be :3 feet long by the roll width.
