YY. Percent Maximum Density (Relative Compaction): Field dry density expressed as a <br />percentage of the maximum dry density obtained by the test procedure presented in ASTM <br />D1557. <br />ZZ. Pipe Bedding: Select granular material placed beneath pipes to the lines and grades <br />indicated on the Construction Drawings. <br />AAA. Pipe Manufacturer: The party responsible for the production of the pipe from resin and for <br />the resin quality. <br />BBB. Procedure: Listed steps or actions that specify or describe how an activity is to be <br />performed. <br />CCC. Project Documents: Contractor submittals, construction drawings, record drawings, <br />specifications, shop drawings, construction quality control and quality assurance plans, <br />safety plan, and project schedule. <br />DDD. Quality Assurance: A planned and systematic pattern of procedures and documentation <br />designed to provide adequate confidence that materials or services meet contractual and <br />regulatory requirements, and that these materials will perform satisfactorily in service. <br />EEE. Quality Control: Those actions that provide a means of measuring and regulating the <br />characteristics of a material or service to comply with the requirements of the construction <br />documents. Quality control will be performed by the Contractor, manufacturers, suppliers, <br />and subcontractors. <br />FFF. Record Drawings: Drawings recording the constructed dimensions, details, and coordinates <br />of the project (also referred to as "as-builts"). <br />GGG. Satisfactory Materials: Materials meeting the applicable specification requirements. <br />fHHH. Soils Quality Assurance Laboratory (by County): Party or parties independent from the <br />Contractor, retained by the County or Contractor for conducting laboratory tests on soil <br />samples obtained at the site. <br />III. Standard Dimension Ratio (SDR): Ratio of pipe diameter to wall thickness. <br />JJJ. Subgrade: In-situ material. <br />KKK. Subgrade Preparation: Preparation of all surfaces upon which fills, geosynthetic lining, <br />erosion protection materials, or other features are to be constructed. <br />LLL. Surveyor: The individual or firm retained by the contractor responsible for setting grade <br />stakes and other survey markings to establish required elevations for constructing the project <br />in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
