3.3 LANDFILL GAS 3.3.A Landfill Gas Migration Monitoring There is no change in reporting requirements for landfill gas migration monitoring due to the extension of the closure cap. Reporting will include data from the two additional LFG migration monitoring planned for 2013. 3.3.13 Landfill Gas Collection Per the SJVAPCD permit, the operating temperature and flow rate of the flare are recorded continuously. LFG collection system's adjustments and .' flare station's maintenance are logged. Reports are made to SJVAPCD in accordance with the permit conditions. Records are stored for a minimum five years as required. 4.0 POSTCLOSURE LAND USE The closure cap extension area will be un-improved open grassland. There is no change in postclosure land use due to the extension of the closure cap. 5.0 MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE 5.1 FINAL COVER 5.1.A General There are no significant changes for the final cover monitoring of the additional area. The closure cap extension area is less than one percent of the closed area of CHSL. The final cover monitoring of the closure cap extension area will be part of the site's final cover monitoring. The Count will aerial-survey the entire landfill including the closure cap Y Y extension area at the conclusion of the closure cap extension project. Aerial survey will be done every five years when needed to monitor landfill settlement. The emissions from the final cover will be monitored in accordance with Title 17 Section 9547 (c) and Title 27 Section 21090 (a) (4) (A). Penetrations through the cover, if any, will either be repaired by restoring the geomembrane or by installing materials that provide the equivalent of one-foot of 10-6 cm/sec material.
