Monitoring was performed in accordance with the monitoring
program included with the Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs) approved by the Regional Water
Quality Control Board for this site.
The results of this quarter's monitoring are generally consistent with previous quarters, except that MW-
9A was found free of VOCs this quarter.
Deep aquifer wells MW-6 and MW-7 remain without impact. Slight changes in some inorganic
parameters at MW-6 were reported by Sanitas software. We will be interested to see the data from this
well next quarter.
As usual, no VOCs were reported at shallow aquifer wells SB-1 or MW-4, or at any deep aquifer well.
No general water quality parameters were exceeded in any wells this quarter. The extent of
groundwater impact is delineated.
We continue to see slight improvement in the inorganic parameters at MW-4 that we attribute to grading
improvements in late 2003. This continuing improvement seems to indicate that the lack of closure
cover over small portions of the refuse at the eastern edge of the landfill is not negatively impacting
groundwater at this time.
Progress of Corrective Action Measures is submitted during the first and third quarters, and is therefore
not included in this quarterly report.
The closure of the landfill continues, as described in the recent monthly report.
