' PERIMETER LANDFILL GAS MIGRATION MONITORING WELLS <br /> The perimeter landfill gas migration monitoring (soil gas)wells were installed on August 22 <br /> and 23, 2013. Each well was provided with monitoring sections in accordance with California <br /> Code of Regulations Title 27 Section 20925 (c). Bentonite seals, separating the sampling <br /> sections, were located to prevent intrusion of water into the wells from the shallow aquifer <br /> ' perched on the Corcoran Clay layer. Geologic features noted during construction did not require <br /> other adjustments. <br /> ' Wells were installed in accordance with the design approved by, and under the inspection of,the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department acting as the Local Enforcement Agency <br /> (LEA) for the California Department of Resource Recovery and Recycling (Photo 17 and 18). <br /> ' Each probe at each well is provided with a sampling tube attached to a cock valve from which <br /> samples can be taken(Photo 18 and 19). <br /> ' Well GW-9 was finished to a depth of 51.5 feet, reaching an elevation of the refuse at the site, <br /> This well was provided with three probes. Well GW-8 was installed to a depth of 25.5 feet, also <br /> extending to the depth of the refuse.
