Groundwater Direction and Flow Rate
® Shallow Aquifer
Groundwater elevations at wells SB-1, MW-4, MW-5, MW-8, MW-9A, MW-10A, and
MW-11A indicate that the off-site groundwater flow gradient in the shallow perched aquifer is to
the north(Figure 2 and Appendix G). The average groundwater velocity is calculated to be
8.369 ft/yr based on a gradient of 0.03 feet per foot.
Deep Aquifer
The groundwater elevations at MW-6 and MW-7 indicate that groundwater flow is northeasterly
from MW-7 to MW-6 (Figure 3 and Appendix G). The average calculated groundwater velocity
is 1.01 ft/yr based on a gradient of 0.0036 feet per foot.
Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill 15 Department of Public Works/Solid Waste
4`"Quarter and Annual 2012 Groundwater Monitoring County of San Joaquin—January 15,2013
