This criterion also considers the potential for damage as a result of
vandalism, traffic accidents, or loss of power. A highly serviceable option will operate with
• little oversight, will not require many adjustments or replacements, is not prone to
unforeseen damage, and will meet treatment goals with a minimum of service redundancies.
Criteria scores were based on the following:
Table 22
Serviceability Scoring Criteria
Basis Score
Few,if any,difficulties 9-10
Some unexpected difficulties 7-8
Several unexpected difficulties 5-6
Numerous unexpected difficulties 3-4
Constant attention required 0-2
The serviceability scores of the viable remedial alternatives ranged from 1 to 10(Table 23).
5.7 ALTERNATIVE RANKING
As summarized below (calculations presented on Table 25), the sums of the evaluation
criteria scores ranged from 120 to 274, with Alternatives 1, 2, and 4 scoring significantly
higher than the other three and Alternative No. 2 scoring the highest.
Engineering Feasibility Study Geo-Logic Page IN31
Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill ASSOCIATES
January 25,2013
