The location of the temporary sampling location <br />in this area will attempt to avoid boring through the burned refuse residue. <br />Drilling on neighboring properties is contingent upon permission granted by the landowners. <br />The County has contacted the owners of these properties, requesting permission to perform the <br />work of this Plan. As of February 24, 2007, permission to enter has not been granted; however, <br />County staff reports that the discussions have been cordial, and that permission to enter the <br />property is expected. <br />2.1 Task 1- Prefield Services <br />The following activities will be in preparation for field activities: <br />• Obtain permission to enter from property owners (now under way by County) <br />• Prepare technical specifications and obtain quotes from up to three drillers, and <br />submit to the County (Shaw) <br />• Execute Purchase Order to the selected driller (County) <br />• Clear the location of the proposed drill site, if necessary (Shaw) <br />• Obtain drilling permits (County) <br />• Schedule field activities with the RWQCB, and subcontractors (Shaw) <br />• Request USA to locate any buried utilities in the locations of the proposed borings <br />(Shaw) <br />• Prepare Health and Safety Plan (Driller) <br />• Obtain necessary drill supplies and materials (Driller) <br />2.2 Task 2 - Field Work <br />Field activities related to the drilling program will consist o£ <br />• Drilling <br />• Soil sampling <br />• Soil gas sampling <br />• Borehole logging <br />• Hydropunch or equivalent in-situ water sampling <br />• Installation and development of MW -8 <br />Corral Hollow EMP WPlan Rev2Mar 22-07.DOC 2-2 March 20, 2007 <br />
