Mariposa Avenue <br />Stockton, CA 95204 1V <br />SAM <br />pc <br />Subject: French Camp Disposal Site <br />Dear Landowners and Facility Operators: <br />The staff of the State Solid TV-7aste Management Board is currently <br />conducting the disposal site inventory mandated under Section <br />4005(b) of Subtitle D of the Resource Conservation and Recovery <br />Act of 1976 (PL 94-580). This program is being administered by <br />the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) nationally, and <br />by our Board within California. During the 1981 Federal fiscal <br />year, our staff plans to visit 250 disposal sites to determine <br />if they comply with the criteria published by EPA (Federal Register, <br />September 13, 1979) for us,e in the inventory. Names of sites not <br />in compliance could ultimately be submitted to EPA for inclusion <br />in the Federal Register on a list of "open dumps." <br />This program is being managed with the close coordination of your <br />city or county solid waste enforcement agency. <br />This letter is to announce the inspection of your site sometime <br />between the dates of May 11, 1981, and June 12, 1981.
