San Joaquin Street
Stockton, CA 95201
WINTERIZATION PLAN FOR FRENCH CAMP SANITARY LANDFILL
The following Winterization Plan is submitted for review:
LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF WINTER DISPOSAL SITE
The location of the disposal area will be adjacent to the existing dumping area at the southwest corner of the
landfill. The area to receive waste during this time is shown on the attached map. The amount of waste to be
received during the winter period is based on a projected scale volume of 8,500 tons for the 1991-92 winter
season.
II. WINTERIZATION PAD AND ACCESS ROAD
All winter roads are in place. All roads and pad to be used with the exception of roads adjacent to the working
face, are asphalt with a compacted aggregate base material. These roads provide vehicles access to and from the
working fill area.
III. DRAINAGE
Storm water will be directed overside to the toe of the landfill. Areas where ponding may occur, such as
depressions due to settlement, will be filled with cover soil to insure adequate drainage from the working fill area.
IV. BORROW STOCKPILE
The stockpile of cover material is located adjacent to the proposed Winter Dump area and is adequate for site
needs. To supplement this, we also receive off-site fill dirt from different sources.
V.
