Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
RESPONSE TO SEPTEMBER 28, 1992 LETTER FROM ROBERT ANDERSON OF THE
CALIFORNIA INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD (CIWMB) STAFF
We recently received the attached letter from Robert Anderson of
CIWMB 's Permitting and. Compliance Division, Closure and Remediation
Branch concerning French Camp Landfill. In the letter, Mr. Anderson
makes four observations regarding conditions at French Camp
Landfill and asks that we indicate when we plan to address them.
Mr. Anderson raises some good points in his letter and we
appreciate these things being brought to our attention but
shouldn't we be responding to you rather than CIWMB staff on these
issues? It seems to me that most, if not all, of these issues fall
within your responsibility as LEA.
We would be happy to respond as Mr. Anderson has requested but
don't you think we should be working directly with you on these
things? Please let me know if you would like us to respond to this
and, if so, who should the response be made to - you or the CIWMB?
MIKE MILLER
SOLID WASTE MANAGER
cc: Robert Anderson, California Integrated Waste Management Board
Stephen Chen, City of Stockton
Phil Nisperos, City of Stockton
Phil Giambastiani, Gambi Enterprises
"STOCKTON ...
