The daily "greenwaste" brought in by City vehicles and self -haulers <br />(gardeners and maintenance contractors) will be spread using heavy <br />equipment into approximate 21 layers. Wastes will be compacted by <br />passing over it approximately 3 to 5 times. The following days <br />"greenwaste" will be deposited in the previous days area and the <br />procedure repeated until Friday of each week when approximately 61, <br />soil cover material will be placed and compacted over the entire <br />weeks "greenwaste" deposit. <br />During rainy days, all "greenwaste" will be deposited in a <br />specially prepared wet weather area. <br />The use of Performance Standards will save space, and extend the <br />landfill life, as well as reduce the need to encroach into prime <br />farmland for cover soil material. <br />If you should have any questions please call me at (209) 944-8826. <br />.00 — <br />MIKE MILLER PHIL GIAMBASTIANI <br />Solid waste Manager Landfill operator <br />cc: Steve Austrhein-Smith, CIWMB <br />H.
