SOLID WASTE FACILITY PERMIT APPLICATION - FRENCH CAMP DISPOSAL SITE <br /> The French Camp disposal site is a Class II-2 site operated <br /> by the progressive slope method. Final cover of three feet is <br /> applied to the completed site. The materials received at this <br /> site are restricted to Class III demolition waste and garden <br /> refuse collected by City crews from City streets. This site <br /> was originally worked as a City "dump." The disposal of type II <br /> wastes was transferred to the Austin Road landfill site in 1957. <br /> The site is currently operated with the objective of eliminating <br /> all visable evidence of previous use. For that reason, a typical <br /> cycle is difficult to describe. <br /> A. Normal working hours of this site are 6 :30 a.m. to 4 :30 p.m. <br /> each day except Saturday and Sunday. The hours of operation on <br /> Saturday are 6:30 a.m. to 1 :30 p.m. The site is closed Sundays , <br /> Christmas Day and New Year' s Day. <br /> B. There is no waste handling or separation operations performed <br /> at the site. <br /> C. Sufficient standby equipment is available for the operation <br /> of the site. This French Camp disposal site is operated in <br /> conjunction with the Austin Road landfill site , and sufficient <br /> equipment is available at that site to operate French Camp. <br /> D. No excavation is performed at the French Camp site. Cover <br /> material is provided by excavations for stree 's ',apd buildings in <br /> the City of Stockton.
