Soils encountered in borings SGP1 and SGP3 consisted primarily of silt <br /> and clay with variable amounts of very fine to coarse-grained sand. The remaining borings <br /> were drilled through landfill refuse. The refuse material consisted of clay mixed with <br /> various household debris such as wood, glass, brick, clothing, paper goods, etc.. <br /> 4.2 Soil Gas Sampling. Methane and oxygen concentrations in the gas probes were <br /> measured using the Gastechtor following installation as described in Section 3.2.
