As part of this work, CDM will be installing a
number of'groundwater monitoring wells for which you have received permit applications.
At the time the perni t applications were submitted by CUM,u question arose concerning the
proper disposal of the soil that will result from the construction of the wells. Since none of the
sites for the new well.,;have shown a history of contamination, the soil will be disposed of at the
French Camp Landfill where it will be used as daily cover.
If,during the well construction, there are indications that the soil is contaminated,it will be
tested mid disposed of accordingly. If you have any questions, please contact me at 937-8829.
- '/n
ROBERT MURDOCH
SENIOR CIVIL.ENGINEER
cc: Stephen Chen
Mike Miller
Mike Grey, CDM
•ff®TOCKTON...CALIFORNIANS®YNRI®••MAIMORT 0
