(CASE NO. 3032)
We have reviewed the First Quarter 2002 Monitoring Report, French Camp Landfill submitted on 12
April 2002 by Levine Fricke on behalf of Allied Waste Industries, Inc. The enclosed Monitoring Report
Compliance Checklists summarizes our comments on the report. The report is complete.
The downstream monitoring point, SW-3 exceeds the concentration limits for TDS and sulfate. SW-3
should be re-sampled for TDS and sulfate as soon as possible and the results reported to the Regional
Board. If concentrations of these parameters still exceed the concentration limits this is an indication of
a release and the "response to a release"procedures in the Standard Provisions must be followed.
If you have any questions please call me at (916) 255-3814.
. .. . --4
Ross D.
