VI.L. HAZARDOUS WASTE SCREENING PROGRAM <br />14 CCR 18222(b) <br />Forward, Inc. employees are responsible for all load checking <br />Appendix J, Austin <br />as of this year. The landfill staff will report any suspicious <br />Road Landfill Load <br />refuse found during disposal to the site supervisor. The site <br />Checking Program <br />supervisor will inspect the suspect refuse and determine if the <br />Appendix I, FDSR <br />material is hazardous. The load checking program is attached <br />Sec. 2.1.3, Page 2-2; <br />as Appendix J. <br />FDSR Sec. 2.6.2.8, <br />Pages 2-40 to 2-41; <br />Sign at the entrance provides a general list of prohibited <br />FDSR Sec. 2.5, <br />materials and a phone number for hazardous waste disposal <br />Page 2-30 <br />questions. <br />If hazardous wastes are found, procedures are defined in the <br />Contingency Plan in the FDSR Section 2.6.2.8. <br />Personnel and equipment available is outlined in the FDSR. <br />Operator supervisors hold monthly meetings with employees <br />on hazardous waste screening issues. <br />VII. DISPOSAL SITE RECORDS AND REPORTING PROCEDURES <br />VII.A. WEIGHTNOLUME RECORDS <br />14 CCR 17636 <br />Trucks are weighed on a scale certified by San Joaquin <br />County Weights and Measures. Weight data accounting is <br />done by computer. <br />An in-place density factor of 1,2501b./cubic yard is used to <br />calculate landfill filling rates. <br />Waste discharge locations are reported to the Central Valley <br />Water Quality Control Board annually on a site plan of the <br />facility. <br />VII.B. SUBSURFACE RECORDS <br />14 CCR 17637 <br />Forward, Inc. keeps track of the length and depth of cuts <br />through periodic topographic mapping. Forward, Inc. plots <br />groundwater elevations quarterly for the groundwater <br />monitoring reports. <br />
