The Walker and French Camp Sloughs border the site <br /> on the north, south and west. The eastern boundary is Manthey Road. The site stopped <br /> accepting waste in 1999. The facility has been closed with a final landfill cover that complies <br /> with the requirements in Title 27. The current Waste Discharge Requirements regulate the <br /> post closure maintenance and environmental monitoring at this closed facility. <br /> Staff toured the entire closed facility. There does not appear to be any ponding, exposed <br /> waste or subsidence anywhere at the site. The vegetation appears to be well established on <br /> the cover. The grasses within the run-on/run-off channels were cut low. <br /> Picture illustrates the top surface of the landfill. Good vegetation, and drainage ditch is clear. <br /> No exposed waste or leachate seeps. <br /> Approved: <br />
