exceedances for chloride and TDS have been identified in samples from well MW-l0A
and a No Release Demonstration(NRD) for groundwater monitoring well MW-l0A was
performed(Herst, 2005). The NRD concluded that French Camp Landfill, located within
the central Stockton area, has been impacted by saltwater intrusion and the elevated
chloride and TDS concentrations measured in well MW-10A are believed to be the result
of this condition and not the result of landfill-related impacts. Since specific conductance
and TDS values often mimic each other, the specific conductance exceedance is believed
to the result of this same condition.
The results of water quality analyses completed for leachate monitoring wells MW-IA '
and MW-2 identified 11 VOCs above the PQL in well MW-IA, while no VOCs were
detected in the sample from well MW-2.
The results of water quality analyses completed for surface-water monitoring stations are
generally consistent with previous results. During the current.monitoring period, CL
exceedances were noted for the barium concentration in the samples from stations SW-2
and SW-3. However, with the exception of turbidity in all three surface-water samples,
no statistically significant increasing trends were noted. ,
8.0 REFERENCES
California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region, 2005, "Order
No.R5-2004-0159 Waste Discharge Requirements for Forward Inc.
