1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf of Forward, Inc. (Forward), Geo-Logic Associates (GLA)has prepared this <br /> monitoring report for the closed French Camp Landfill, located on Manthey Road in San <br /> Joaquin County, California,to comply with the requirements of the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB) Monitoring and Reporting Program <br /> Order No. R5-2007-0046. This semiannual report presents the results of water quality <br /> monitoring and summarizes field activities completed at the French Camp Landfill <br /> between the first semiannual (January I and June 30, 2011) monitoring period. <br /> Monitoring Network <br /> The detection monitoring program(DMP)network at the French Camp Landfill currently <br /> includes six groundwater monitoring wells,two piezometers, one leachate monitoring <br /> well, three surface water monitoring stations,two stream gauging stations, and eight soil- <br /> pore gas monitoring probes. The locations of the DMP network stations are depicted in <br /> Figure I and summarized in the following table. <br /> Monitoring Point Monitoring Point I.D. <br /> DMP Groundwater Monitoring MW-6A, MW-7A <br /> Wells-Background <br /> DMP Groundwater Monitoring MW-8A,MW-9A,MW-9B,MW-I OA <br /> Wells-Compliance <br /> Piezometers MW-5,MW-713 <br /> Leachate Monitoring Well MW-2 <br /> Soil-Pore Gas Probes SGP-lA, SGP-2A, SGP-3, SPG-4A, <br /> SGP-5A, SGP-6A, SGP-7A, SGP-8A <br /> Surface Water Stations SW-1,SW-2,and SW-3 <br /> Stream Gauging Stations SG-1 and SG-2 <br /> In accordance with WDR Order No. R5-2007-0046, soil-pore gas and groundwater <br /> monitoring are performed semiannually with quarterly determination of groundwater and <br /> surface water elevations. <br /> 2.0 STANDARD OBSERVATIONS <br /> Cal Recycle conducted quarterly site inspections at the French Camp Landfill on <br /> February 16, and May 18, 2011. No notices of violation or areas of concern were <br /> observed during the inspections. Inspection forms are presented in Appendix A. <br /> Weekly site visits were conducted by French Camp Landfill personnel during the <br /> monitoring period. Records of the French Camp Landfill inspections are on file at the <br /> Forward Landfill Field Office. Weekly site visit summary reports for the monitoring <br /> period are also presented in Appendix A. According to these weekly reports,the French <br /> Camp Landfill Operations Manager certifies that standard observations were conducted <br /> during the monitoring period and no areas of concern were noted(see signed <br /> "Certification Statements"located in Appendix A. <br /> D:U01 1-0051 TC-1 SA I I.docx 1 Geo Logic Associates <br />
