RECOMMENDED ADDITIONAL PERMIT REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PREVENTION OF UNCONTROLLED FIRES: <br /> 1 . Burning is not alloed •at any time; S.J.C.A.P.C.D. Rule #415. <br /> 2. Trailer with a 1000 gallon water tank and pump be kept in the dumping area, with <br /> a tractor available to tow trailer to pit site, and/or a 1000 gallon tanker, <br /> with a pump capable of 100 P.S. I. and 100 gallon per minute capacity in operable <br /> condition be maintained at dump site at all times. <br /> 3. Storage tank at well site be kept full of water at all times. <br /> 4. Approaches and operational areas be kept fireproofed at all times. <br /> 5. A dump operator and a dozer operator shall be in attendance at all times the dump <br /> site is open to the public. <br /> 6. Upon the discovery of any fire in the dump area, the LINDEN-PETERS FIRE DISTRICT <br /> will be notified immediately and the dump operators will begin suppression action, <br /> continuing such action until the fire is out.* <br /> 7. A fire in a pit will automatically close that pit to further dumping until the <br /> fire has been extinguished and cleared by the LINDEN-PETERS FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br /> 8. A 400-foot cleared area shall be maintained to the South and East sides of the <br /> dumping site. <br /> 9. Some type of portable fence should be considered in the main dumping area as <br /> the type of dumping now allowed allows paper to be blown out of the dumping <br /> area. <br /> *Upon the discovery of a fire in the dumping area during normal operating hours, <br /> and upon reporting the fire to the Linden-Peters Fire Department, an officer <br /> will be dispatched to evaluate the fire. If assistance is required, the officer <br /> will request fire apparatus to respond. If requested by the reporting party, <br /> fire apparatus will also be dispatched. A fire reported after normal working <br /> hours will be answered by this department with fire apparatus , as needed. <br />
