e
0 0
CONCLUSIONS
During the Third Quarter Monitoring Event, there were no detections of migration above the 5%
limit. This monitoring event represents the third consecutive event in which no detections above
the 5% limit were discovered. Past quarters have shown gas levels above 5% in all the wells
along the labor camp (GW-1 to GW-3), and in GW-12. There were detections of migration below
5% found in wells GW-2, and GW-4. The County has been working with an engineering
consulting firm over the past several months, and as a result, many repairs and operational
changes have been made which have increased the efficiency and dramatically decreased the
incidence of shutdowns experienced by the flare. The County believes that this has led to the
decrease in the amount of gas migrating off-site.
The next monitoring event will take place in October 2001.
N:\Dan\HI\Gas\3rd2OOlgas.wpd
5
