HIRATA <br /> DIRECTOR <br /> August 2, 1999 <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Robert McClellon, Lead Senior R.E.H.S. <br /> Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> FROM: Wes Johnson <br /> Associate Civil Engineer <br /> SUBJECT: LANDFILL GAS MONITORING AT THE MIGRANT FARM LABOR CAMP <br /> County staff monitored the farm labor camp adjacent to Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill for <br /> methane on July 29, 1999, using the Landtec GEM 500 landfill gas instrument which was <br /> calibrated by County staff prior to sampling. The first fifteen structures nearest to the landfill <br /> and the vents from the first two structures were tested for methane.
