4.0 CURRENT FUND BALANCE <br /> As of September, 1993, there was a total of $1, 143 , 000 in the <br /> Harney Lane Landfill Closure Fund. <br /> 5. 0 PROPOSED FINANCIAL ASSURANCE PLAN <br /> The Closure/Postclosure fund was established in December 1988 . <br /> Annually, its status is reviewed by the County Solid Waste Division <br /> and an appropriate deposit is made to the fund. <br /> In order to balance short-falls, the amount of $131, 000 from the <br /> Solid Waste Enterprise fund would be deposited into the closure <br /> fund in August, 1994, and $735, 000 would be deposited in November, <br /> 1994 . <br /> 6.0 CLOSURE PLAN REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE SCHEDULE <br /> DATE Estimated General Closure Fund <br /> Expenditures Enterprise Fund Balance <br /> February, 1994 $1, 143,000 <br /> March, 1994 $300, 000 $843 , 000 <br /> June 1994 $605, 000 $238, 000 <br /> August 1994 $369, 000 $131, 000 $ 0 <br /> November 1994 $735, 000 $735, 000 $ 0 <br /> 7.0 DISBURSEMENT SCHEDULE <br /> Funds for closure will be disbursed on a monthly basis from the <br /> Solid Waste Closure Enterprise Fund. The contractor performing the <br /> work will submit an invoice by the 15th of each month. The County <br /> Solid Waste Division will process the invoice, and the contractor <br /> will be paid by the end of each month. A 5% retainer will be <br /> withheld by the County until completion of the closure activities. <br /> The retainer will be paid to the contractor upon completion of the <br /> project to the satisfaction of the County. <br /> 25 <br />
