"
Enclosed, please find the results of the first quarter perimeter migration monitoring at the Harney Lane
Sanitary Landfill(Table 1), including monitoring of the foundation vents of the migrant labor camp
structures adjacent to the landfill(Table 2). We are pleased that combustible gas has not been detected in
any foundation vents, indicating that LFG is not migrating to those structures. All migration monitoring
probes, with exception of GW-3D and GW-3M, are below regulatory limits for combustible gas. SCS
Field Services will continue to monitor the foundation vents weekly, along with the three soil gas
monitoring wells adjacent to the migrant labor housing facility.
We continue to aggressively collect LFG at a rate of approximately 410 scfm.
The County drilled for a combination LFG extraction/soil gas well H-15 in the vicinity of GW-3 on
February 25, 2005 (Figures 2 and 3). This well was completed in stages. On March 4, 2005,
approximately 6"we vacuum was applied to the soil gas portion of this well (H-15A), and on
March 8,2005 approximately 0.5"we vacuum was applied to the LFG extraction portion(H-15B). Data
collected since the operation of this new well indicates decreasing combustible gas concentrations at
GW-3, and we expect to be in compliance at GW-3 in the near future.
If you have any questions, please contact me at extension 8-3066.
Sincerely,
ze—
W.
