Chlorophenoxy Herbicides
ICP Metals (26 metals)
The next groundwater COC monitoring event will occur in the first quarter of 2010.
Surface Water
Surface water samples are collected after the first storm of the rainy season that produces
significant
flow and quarterly thereafter when water is flowing. Samples are collected from monitoring point
S-1 (upstream) and monitoring point S-2 (downstream)of the landfill (Figure 2).
Surface water samples are analyzed for the following quarterly monitoring and field parameters:
Temperature
EC
pH
Turbidity
TDS
Chloride
Surface water samples are analyzed annually for the following additional parameters:
Sulfates
Nitrate-Nitrogen
Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen
Chemical Oxygen Demand
Dissolved Oxygen
Surface water samples are analyzed for th
Yz eve 5 every years e following constituents of concern (COC):
ICP Metals (26 metals)
The next surface water COC monitoring will occur during the fourth quarter of 2009.
Statistical Analysis
Groundwater
At the Harney Lane Landfill, the intrawell tolerance limit method (each well provides its own
background data)has been approved for groundwater analysis, whereas the interwell tolerance limit
method has been approved for surface water analysis. Concentration limits are updated quarterly,
where possible, and were most recently updated in this quarter. Analytical results were compared to
the concentration limits shown in Table 1.
Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill Department of Public Works/Solid Waste
1"Quarter 2007 Groundwater Monitoring Report County of San Joaquin—Apfiil 15,2007
3
