PART GENERAL <br /> 1.01 SUMMARY <br /> Providing wells accepted by the regulatory agencies as suitable for <br /> sampling groundwater, as identified herein, is of the essence. <br /> 1.02 PROJECT LOCATION <br /> This project includes work at the following locations: <br /> 1. Harney Lane Landfill (HLSL), located at 14750 E. Harney Lane in <br /> Lodi California. <br /> 2. North County Recycling center and Sanitary Landfill Foothill Sanitary <br /> Landfill, located at 17720 E Harney Lane, also near Lodi California. <br /> 1.03 SITE CONDITIONS <br /> A. Existing Site Conditions <br /> The existing terrain indentified in the plans is approximate. The Bid prices <br /> shall be based on the existing site conditions. The Contractor shall verify site <br /> conditions before placing bid. <br /> North County landfill has fairly good roads around the perimeter of the landfill. <br /> Access to well G-1 at North County is through jeep trail from the sites main <br /> entrance road. The Jeep trail has limited access during wet weather. <br /> Access to wells at Harney lane is through the perimeter access road and <br /> through a small segment of jeep trail road. Some locations are difficult to <br /> access during wet weather. <br /> B. Site Safety <br /> 1. Safety Responsibility <br /> The Contractor is solely and wholly responsible for the safety of its workers <br /> and damage to his equipment. The Contractor shall take all appropriate <br /> measures for worker safety. The County will not accept any liabilities. All <br /> OSHA safety standards shall be practiced by the Contractor.
