944-8271
April 28, 1977
MR. JOE SPANOS
S.J. COUNTY AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, Ca. 95201
RE: DUMP FIRE - 3200 S. EL DORADO
As per our telephone conversation of April 28, 1977, please note the dates
and times that the Stockton Fire Department has responded to dump fires at
the "land fill area" just south.of Pacific Clay Products, 3032 S. El Dorado.
In all cases, the fires involved materials which had been recently dumped
by the Learner Company (Navy Drive). These dates only include the period
of time since annexation to the City (January 18, 1977)., It is our under-
standing that prior to this time, French Camp/Mc Kinley Fire District fre-
quently responded to fires at this fill area.
1.
Feb. 20, 1977
@
1906
hours
2.
Mar 1, 1977
@
1019
hours
3.
Mar. 9, 1977
@
0057
hours
4.
Mar. 19, 1977
@
0220
hours
5.
April 23, 1977
@
0710
hours
6.
April 27, 1977
@
2310
hours
In vies of the fact that these fires are an air pollution problem more than
a fire hazard to people or property, I am referring this situation to your
office for action. Please contact the office of Fire Prevention for further
questions.
W.R. Ross, Assistant Fire Marshal
Stockton Fire Department
L
AF 1s=c-®
ACZ-n,CIL 17M'71
