k"KLE1NFELDER
April 28, 1993
File: 24-215600-F00
Mr. Ed Padilla
Environmental Health Division
Public Health Services
San Joaquin County
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
SUBJECT: Cove Contractors Landfill
Dear Mr. Padilla:
n.
tl' ,
L6 R g
APR 2 9 1993
E ,NVI OINM (NTAIH, Vir A TH
In addition to submission if an interim drainage plan for the Cove Contractors Landfill, Cove
Contractors agreed to submit an outline of the items that would be addressed in addenda to the
Report of Waste Discharge (RWD) dated December 19, 1990 and the Report of Disposal Site
Information (RDSI) dated December 10, 1990. Addenda to both documents are needed
because Cove Contractors has made a decision to accept only inert waste at the landfill.
Automotive shredder residue will not be accepted.
Tables 1 and 2 (enclosed) list the individual sections of the respective reports that will be either
replaced or supplemented by the contents of addenda. The sections referenced are those that
will require substantive changes. A revised section will not be provided where the only
change would be to replace the term "auto shredder waste" with the term "inert waste". The
plates and drawings referenced in the sections listed in Tables 1 and 2 will also be revised as
necessary. We understand that this outline will be used as a basis for discussion at the
upcoming regulatory meeting. Please distribute the document to appropriate individuals at the
various agencies involved. We encourage you to call if you need any additional information.
Sincerely,
KLEINFELDER, INC.
Timothy A.
