40
California Waste Removal Systems Report of Station Information
SECTION I
FACILITY OVERVIEW
A. INTRODUCTION
This Report of Station Information describes the design and operation of
the Transfer Station (TS) and Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) which is owned
and operated by California Waste Removal Systems (CWRS). The facility is
located on land owned by CWRS in Lodi, California.
The facility provides a solid waste transfer station for waste generated by
the City of Lodi and the surrounding communities. The MRF is a regional facility
designed to assist the City of Lodi and surrounding areas in complying with the
waste reduction and recycling mandates of AB939.
The MRF accepts commingled recyclables, source separated recyclables,
and materials brought in for buy-back. Materials designated for recovery are
manually and mechanically sorted to separate recyclables. The recyclables are
then sold to secondary materials markets. The residual waste is transported to
an on-site transfer station for final disposal.
B.
