A specific section of compost on Feb. 21, 2010 at post 24 <br /> through March 16, 2010 at post 3 shows only 13 days of 131 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. <br /> - Active compost shall be maintained under aerobic conditions at a temperature of 131 degrees Fahrenheit or <br /> higher for a pathogen reduction period of 15 days or longer. During the period when the compost is maintained at <br /> 131 degrees Fahrenheit or higher,there shall be a minimum of five(5)turnings of the windrow. <br /> tnpection;Report Comments <br /> .. <br /> Routine Inspection Conducted on this date and the following was noted: <br /> 1.) Approximately 100 cubic yards of finished compost was observed onsite. <br /> 2.) A Temperature log was given from December 21, 2009 to March 26, 2010. <br /> 3.) Temperatures of compost were taken at posts 28, 25,22, 19, 16, 13, 10, 7,4, and 1. The respective temperatures <br /> were 70, 104, 100, 139, 150, 152, 138, 132, 138, 130 in degrees Fahrenheit. <br /> 4.)Previous Area of Concerns for records regarding special occurrence log and feedstock and compost have been <br /> corrected. A special occurence log and a record of the quantity and type of feedstock received and quantity of compost <br /> material produced is now kept onsite. <br /> 5.) Previous Area of Concern for not keeping temperature measurements for active compost has been corrected. <br /> Temperature logs for compost onsite show a temperature measurement every day for active compost. <br />
