<br /> Comments: Facility was unable to provide records showing that the finished compost has met maximum
<br /> acceptable metal concentrations and pathogen reduction requirements. The previous record provided showing
<br /> metal concentrations, fecal coliform, and Salmonella sp. densities were in compliance was provided on
<br /> December 31,2013.
<br /> A.Operators shall verify that compost meets the maximum acceptable metal concentration limits, and pathogen
<br /> reduction requirements specified in specified in Title 14 CCR, Division 7, Chapter 3.1,Article 7. Verification of
<br /> pathogen reduction requirements shall occur at the point where compost is sold and removed from the site,
<br /> bagged for sale,given away for beneficial use and removed from the site or otherwise beneficially used.
<br /> Composite sample analysis for maximum acceptable metal concentrations shall be conducted at a laboratory
<br /> certified by the California Department of Health Services, pursuant to the Health and Safety Code.
<br /> B. Submit records showing compost produced does not exceed maximum metal concentrations and maximum
<br /> acceptable pathogen concentrations for fecal coliform and Salmonella sp. bacteria. The records must be from a
<br /> laboratory certified by the California Department of Public Health Services, pursuant to the Health and Safety
<br /> Code.

<br /> 1.) Facility provided a temperature log dating November 3, 2014 through December 17,2014,which indicates that
<br /> compost is meeting pathogen reduction requirements.
<br /> 2.) Facility provided a temperature log which indicates that finished compost temperatures are not exceeding dangerous
<br /> fire levels.
<br /> 3.)Temperatures of compost were taken at posts 24, 21, 18, 15, and 12. The respective temperatures were 120, 101,
<br /> 114, 148, and 142.
<br /> 4.)According to the facility,the amount of finished compost onsite was roughly 500 cubic yards.
<br /> 5.) Fly population was not an issue during this inspection.
<br /> 6.) Inspection was conducted with Robert McClellon, REHS.
