Temperature readings from a calibrated thermometer for piles of green material reached 148 degrees farenheit. The <br /> temperature readings were taken from piles being stored east of the ditch and south of a large building on the property. <br /> -Personnel assigned to the operation or facility shall be adequately trained in subjects pertinent to site solid waste operations and <br /> maintenance,use of mechanized equipment,and environmental controls. <br /> -Increase training of personnel in the maintenance/calibration of the thermometers or provide thermometers that give accurate readings of <br /> the green material onsite at all times. <br /> -Increase training of personnel in environmental controls for piles of green material onsite to deter temperatures that reach dangerous fire <br /> levels. <br /> Inspection Report Comments: <br /> Routine inspection conducted on this date and the following was noted: <br /> 1.) Records were inspected for tonnage counts. Tonnage is kept less than 15 tons per day in compliance with EA notification requirements. <br /> 2.) Onsite the facility had about 60 cubic yards of broken sheetrock. <br />
